About Us
Our mission and our values demonstrate who we are and flow from what we believe.
Our Mission
Jesus said the two greatest commandments are to love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your strength and all your mind, and to love your neighbor as ourselves. At Grace Community Church we seek to obey these mandates through building the local church on the authority of Christ’s teaching in the power of the Holy Spirit, and by making disciples of every nation, in our neighborhood and beyond, until the day he returns.
Here's What We Value as a Church
The core values of any organization reflects who it is and what it believes. At Grace Community Church, we have core values that we share with the churches of Sovereign Grace Churches.
Gospel-Centered
The good news of Christ’s death, burial and resurrection to save sinners is the center of everything we are and do. We are humbled, loved, sustained, protected, and transformed by the power of the gospel.
Reformed
Salvation is by grace alone, through faith alone, in Christ alone. God has chosen to redeem a people from every tribe, tongue, and nation, that he alone would receive all the glory.
Complementarian
Men and women are equal in worth, while different in roles as created in the image of God. These complementary roles are God’s good design for the home, the church, and society as they reflect the Holy Trinity and Christ’s love and leadership of the church.
Continuationist
The Holy Spirit dwells in every believer and empowers us for service and in sanctification. The diverse gifts he gives to his body are practical and supernatural and are still needed and available for the building up of the church.
Evangelistic
Jesus has called all of his people to be ambassadors for Christ, proclaiming his message of reconciliation to all those around us, both locally and internationally. We strive to equip our members and seek the Spirit’s empowerment to be his witnesses in our relational circles, and in corporate outreaches as a church.
Elder-Governed
Jesus Christ is the chief shepherd over his church and gives elders (pastor) to govern and lead under his authority according to his Word. We believe that men, qualified in both character and gifting, are called to lead and love God’s people.
Partnerships
We enjoy a rich relationship with churches in the Leesburg and Ashburn area, and the broader United States. Our partnerships help us to care for our members and advance the gospel.
